This registration is for our Train-the-Trainer (TTT) program, offered to non-profit organizations or schools that want to deliver the Nature-Based Teacher Foundations course as an approved trainer with the Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools. The TTT model provides 12 clock hours of training which consists of nine (9) ‘live’ interactive training hours and three (3) self-directed training hours.

Each module reviews essential topics that help frame the role of the guide, health and safety, curriculum, and practical considerations. Strategies, resources, and supplemental materials are provided throughout the training to ensure that trainers are prepared to lead their own Nature-Based Teacher Foundations course.

Goals of the TTT Program:

  • To build capacity for meaningful nature-based professional development focused on best practices in nature-based early childhood education

  • To equip trainers with skills and resources needed to provide the Nature-Based Teacher Foundations course as an approved trainer with the Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools

  • To promote the mission and vision of ERAFANS to provide nature play and outdoor learning for all
