Community Science is a fun and easy way to get kids and families involved in birding and connecting to nature. In the winter, Audubon has two amazing opportunities for all ages to become a community scientist and watch, listen, and learn from birds... the Christmas Bird Count and the Great Backyard Bird Count. Join Jason "the Birdnerd" St. Sauver to learn more about the fun of birding in winter, participating in community science, and using new apps like Merlin and SEEK for winter birding & nature fun!

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Jason "the Birdnerd" St. Sauver is an award-winning educator with nearly 20 years of experience bringing his love for birding and the natural world to audiences of all ages and abilities. St. Sauver has worked with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and now The National Audubon Society focusing on exploring with participants new and impactful ways to not only connect with nature, but to help it flourish in the wild as well as in urban and suburban areas where people live. The creator of Audubon's "Let's Go Birding Together" program, Jason is also (in)famous for his bird calls and birding by ear.
