Neil Pifer, planetarium director for the Margaret C. Woodson Planetarium in Salisbury, NC, will take participants virtually through the night sky, the solar system and beyond. This interactive session will allow participants to work with virtual tools to empower younger stargazers to see their place on Earth... and in space! Come join us for a fun hour, under the stars!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This program is designed for anyone who facilitates nature-based education and outdoor learning, which may include: teachers and administrators in preschool, childcare, or elementary school settings; naturalists, environmental educators, or outdoor educators; wilderness survival enthusiasts; and parents.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Neil Pifer is a life-long science educator that has worked in a formal high school classroom for 16 years and spent the last 9 years working in an informal science center, Horizons Unlimited. With over 25 years of working with students from PK-grey, he will empower you to facilitate space science for all ages, no matter your background. Neil is also an avid curler, with his wife Anne. They have a dog, Hobbs, who really enjoys throwing the ball after Neil and Anne get home from their adventures.
