WEBINAR DESCRIPTION

In this session, Jillian will share a brief overview of City Blossoms’ pathway program model and highlight our free resources and in-person opportunities to connect. City Blossoms supports educators and community members by providing large and small group coaching around garden and nature- based education, program and resource development, and facilitation of community focused engagement, with a particular focus on cultural connectivity. In addition to free, drop-in, youth-centric "Open Time" programming held at our community green spaces, City Blossoms offers an assortment of Field Trip experiences, which are designed to support learning standards, explore nature, and teach about food production.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This webinar is designed for anyone who teaches in a forest or nature school program, which could include: teachers, aides, guides, administrators, naturalists.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR

Jillian Fan (she/her) - Resources and Trainings Coordinator for City Blossoms

Jillian was born and raised in the DMV and grew up running imaginary food stands out of dirt patches in the park. In her current role as City Blossoms' Resources and Trainings Coordinator, she helps to connect folks in DC with collaborative learning opportunities and accessible tools to support sustainable outdoor learning programs. She got her start in gardens as a CB Fellow in 2023 and has loved learning and growing alongside our young gardeners and enthusiastic educators ever since. Outside of resourcing and training, you will likely find her covered in flour baking or floating around the local food system for good eats!
