emergency preparedness Course
for nature-based programs

Self-paced and on-demand virtual course

Brought to you by ERAFANS and Wild MEd

An emergency response plan is an important part of a school, program, or Center's safety plan, but how do you plan for the emergent situations that can arise in a nature-based setting? This course, designed by Wild Med for ANBE, offers a specialized look at creating an emergency response plan for your program.

Through this self-paced, on-demand course, you will understand how to create a plan that meets the needs of your unique nature-based program. Featuring interviews with parents and educators, resource templates, and a signature plan blueprint, this course meets all of the standards and expectations of state emergency response preparedness with a nature-based focus.

Here's how it works:

  1. Register for the course and set up your Thinkific (virtual classroom platform) account

  2. Move through the course at your own pace

  3. Meet virtually with an ANBE facilitator to problem-solve and ask questions (optional)

  4. Complete your plan and share it with your staff!

When you register, we will share additional details including the Thinkific classroom link and monthly facilitator "office hours" schedule. Join us today!
